Project: September Ranch Groundwater Evaluation

Project Description:
Weber, Hayes and Associates conducted a groundwater basin evaluation for the groundwater section of an Environmental Impact Study (EIS) for a proposed housing development on a 900 acre property adjacent to the Carmel Valley. Our work included a review and evaluation of groundwater and geologic data submitted by the applicant, attendance at meetings with representatives from Monterey County Health Department, Monterey Peninsula Water Management District and Monterey County Water Resource Agency, development of additional work to resolve data gaps, observation and evaluation of the additional work, and input to the project Environmental Impact Statement.

Tasks:

  • Review and Summarize Existing Basin Data, including:
    • Drilling and Logging Data
    • Aquifer Pumping Test Data
    • Geophysical Data
  • Evaluate Validity of Basin Yield Estimates
  • Evaluate Geological/Structural Model of Basin
  • Identify Additional Investigation to Resolve Supply and Connectivity Issues
