SURFACE WATER/GROUNDWATER INTERACTION

Project: Conduct Aquifer Testing and/or Technical Evaluation of the interaction between rivers and groundwater.
Location: Various Central and Northern California Watersheds.

Project Description:

Russian River, Sonoma County - Conducted Surface Water/Groundwater Connectivity Evaluation and Water Rights Classification for a vineyard water supply well. Initiated Appropriative Water Right application with State Water Board.

Gualala River, Medicino County - Evaluated Pumping Test results and pumping impact on a noted North Coast Steellhead river, for proposed increase in water production pumping.

Tres Pinos Greek, San Benito County - Responded to State Water Board Board inquiry regarding well water classification (Underflow versus Percolated Groundwater). Water classified as Percolated Groundwater based on hydrogeologic setting.

Pajaro River, Santa Cruz/Monterey County - Conducted 20 day Pumping Test on riverside production well to evaluate aquifer connection to river. Water discharge, water quality sampling, and well drawdown measurements collected for design of large scale water supply project.
