Project:	Stormwater Characterization and Assessment of Runoff Detention of Shallow Groundwater

Project Description:

Weber Hayes and Associates teamed with a professional hydrology firm to complete a two-year assessment designed to measure the impact of urban stormwater runoff on shallow groundwater.

Tasks:

• The design and construction of a monitoring network capable of retaining representative surface water runoff, infiltrating soil-pore waters and fluctuating groundwater
• Storm event monitoring, using real-time data from weather stations and pressure transducers (surface water/groundwater)
• Inclement weather sampling using strict quality control protocols.
• Integration of analytical data with physical parameters obtained in the field to calculate infiltration and chemical transport rates.
