Project Description:
In 1989, the State of California established the Barry Keene Underground Storage Cleanup Fund (USTCF) (Visit State Cleanup Fund Website) to provide underground storage tank (UST) owners and operators the means to meet federal and state requirements. This fund, administered by the California State Water Resources Control Board, reimburses reasonable costs necessary for the assessment and remediation of leaking petroleum USTs.Weber, Hayes and Associates conform to the fund's guidelines and have been successful in assisting clients in obtaining status into the fund. In continuing efforts and at reasonable costs, we have successfully processed reimbursement and preapproval requests. Through our efforts, our clients have been reimbursed for over $2,000,000.00 in costs for the assessment and cleanup of their sites.
